It was a non-eventful day on Halloween at the restaurant. That's okay, 'cause I'm a little leery of people coming in the place with masks. Even though there were a lot of parties happening around town, It reminds me a lot of New Years Eve. There are a lot of amateurs out there and I don't want to be on the streets with them. I left work late that night, hoping to avoid anyone leaving a party. From the sounds of things, most people played it safe and had pre-arranged rides, and early times to get home. It seems rather funny that on a Saturday, that people would go home early. I was glancing out our front window from time to time, and actually, did see a slow down in the traffic on Benson Blvd. at about 10 PM. Anyway, it all ended well and I even had a couple beers when I arrived home, (Pumpkin ale,..go figure).
Had a great day today, Shauna handled the business at the restaurant and let me stay home to rest. (well, some housework was involved). I actually saw a football game today. Of course, my team, the Seahawks, got their asses handed to them by the Dallas Cowpies. Sorry, not a Dallas fan, never have been. I did get some tickets to watch the Seahawks play the Tennessee Titans, Jan. 3rd 2010. My business landlord is a season ticket holder, and gives me 2 tickets each year to a game. These seats are fantastic. Row Q on the 50 yard line. He is a very good landlord. Not just because he gives me tickets, but I never see him. He does stop by for a cup of coffee,"to-go" once or twice a month, and either asks how things are going or tells me a joke. Life is good.....
Anyone going to be in Seattle Jan 1-4? I'm buying the the first round of beers, if so....at Brouwer's? Pike Brewing? Big time Brewing?
Shauna brought home some "spare" beers we had hanging around the restaurant, tonight. We had La Rulles, Samichlaus '07, and some others that were pretty frigging amazing. They all went well with the Beef Stroganoff I made. And, yes, it was traditional Stroganoff, with tenderloin. Just drinking beer and eating Stroganoff...Life is good. We are very thankful we can enjoy the things we have, because we have worked very hard for what we have, and are fortunate to be in the position to afford to help others...
Well the beer is catching up now, so I think it's time to call it a night....
Please leave a comment, so I know if someone is reading this drivel. I'm interested in if people want to hear about the beers we have as far as tastings, or what ever may be in your minds, I'm open for suggestions.
