Both of the beer tastings went very well. the Extreme Beer tasting was a smashing success. People were still trying to buy tickets, but the place only holds so many. It was very comfortable with only 50. The tables were moved to one side so everyone could mingle. And there was a lot of mingling going on. The beers were phenomenal. Many surprises for many of the the folks. The food never ran out and there were many full bellies by the end of the night. Pairing the food was up to the individual, and there were lots of comments as to what beer paired with which entree. Let me tell you, everyone had their own opinion. Much fun. I am planning another event for sometime in March. Not sure what the menu of beers will be, but I know I'll have to dig deep in my cellar to even come close to the last one.
The Alaskan Smoked Porter Tasting was much more subdued. We had 10 people, at one table, but, was more of an intimate crowd. The '01, '03, '05, '07, '09 were hits, however, when I brought out the ...

We still have tickets available for the Alaskan Brewing Smoke out, I mean, tasting. $30 gets you 6 years of smoked porter tastings with some awesome foods to go along with them. Alaskan Brewing representative will be hosting the event and answering any questions you may have. You can pick up tickets, here, at the restaurant or call, and have your credit card ready. We woiuld really like to see you here!!!!
